PURPOSE: Substitute bus drivers fill transportation needs on an as needed basis. EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent. Bus drivers must be able to obtain and hold Missouri CDL class "B" License and Missouri School Bus Permit, which includes a DOT physical and random drug testing. EXPERIENCE: Previous work-related skills, knowledge, or experience preferred. GENERAL EXPECTATIONS: - Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to perform responsibilities without necessity of close supervision.
- Ability to effectively communicate with the school district community.
- Ability to meet attendance standards to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Ability to maintain a general positive attitude.

- Transport and/or supervise students over specified routes according to an established time schedule.
- Transport students during activity trips and field trips.
- Comply with traffic regulations.
- Drive safely and professionally.
- Perform required pre-trip inspections.
- Enforce the student discipline code.
- Other duties as assigned.
Training for CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements may be available. |
