Diamond R-IV School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.  This position will be open until filled.

Candidate must meet qualifications as established by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, must have appropriate certification or willingness to obtain it, and must pass pre-employment background screenings.

The purpose of the Special Education Teacher is to work with students who have learning, mental, emotional, or physical disabilities. He/she will adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities, as well as teach basic skills to students with severe disabilities.  He/she will have a caseload of students, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate with general education teachers to meet the needs of students.
