Diamond High School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced individual to serve as Head Varsity Football Coach for the 2026-27 school year. This leader will be responsible for developing and sustaining a competitive football program while positively impacting student-athletes through character development, academic accountability, and athletic excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive and competitive football program aligned with the mission, values, and goals of Diamond High School.

• Provide strong leadership and mentorship to student-athletes, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, character, and academic success.

• Plan and conduct organized, progressive, and effective practices that promote individual skill development and team performance.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with players, parents, school administrators, and the broader community.

• Ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of all student-athletes during practices, games, and related activities.

• Develop & implement youth football program in collaboration with volunteer coaches and oversee summer camps, leagues, and practices. 

• Uphold all school, district, conference, and MSHSAA rules and expectations.

Qualifications:

• Prior high school coaching experience preferred, with demonstrated success in building and sustaining competitive programs.

• Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, strategies, and player development.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to motivate, mentor, and develop student-athletes both on and off the field.

• Strong commitment to academic achievement, sportsmanship, and character education.

• Must possess or be eligible to obtain all required coaching certifications through the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA).

Additional Information:
This coaching position may be combined with a full-time PE/Weights or other teaching position depending on qualifications and district needs.
