Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support to teachers by assisting with instruction in whole-group, small-group, and one-on-one settings.
Push into classrooms to help facilitate learning activities, reinforce lessons, and monitor student engagement.
Supervise and manage classrooms independently when providing class coverage, following established lesson plans and school procedures.
Assist with student behavior management to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
Support students with diverse learning needs, adapting materials and strategies as directed by the teacher or special education staff.
Prepare and organize instructional materials or classroom resources as requested.
Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and administrators to ensure smooth transitions and coverage.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, or professional development opportunities as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (some districts may require an associate degree or paraprofessional certification).
Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
Strong communication, flexibility, and organizational skills.
Ability to follow teacher lesson plans and school procedures effectively.
Work Environment:
May rotate among grade levels and classrooms based on coverage needs.
Collaborates closely with multiple teachers and staff to support students across content areas.

The Paraprofessional provides instructional and classroom support by working directly with students and teachers. This role includes “pushing in” to classrooms to assist with instruction and covering classes as needed to ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences for all students.
